Assassin's Road Bike - Small (5'3''-5'6'') - £500
The Assassin's Road Bike is based on a popular manga called Lone Wolf and Cub. It's all about an Assassin, falsely accused and betrayed by the shogun, who hits the road with his infant son to seek vengeance and generally be a bad ass swordsman. I used images from the first manga to create this bike.
I've been riding this bike for almost 2 years and it is a dream (I'm only selling it because I'm getting a new bike). I've taken it all around town and all across the country - not a hard core road bike but very versatile for someone who commutes a lot and goes for weekend rides out of town.
It was brand new when I bought it in 2012 as a Pinnacle Neon Three. Here's what Evan's had to say about this bike:
The Neon series – fast, efficient and comfortable; a bike that’s at equally at home tackling city streets as it is country lanes. Using a lightweight butted aluminium frame and fork and 700c wheels with fast hybrid components, it’s one of the fastest ways to work during the week as well as the ideal bike for some fitness/leisure miles at the weekends (what did I say?!).
The flagship Neon Three cuts a fine figure. Reliable and dependable Shimano 9sp Sora combined with 440 flatbar road series components result in a full Shimano drivetrain and the tough Alex DF-23 rims built onto Shimano 2200 hubs should keep rolling true for mile after mile.
Neon Three & Two come specced with a 50/34T compact double up front. Matched to the 11-25/12-28T out back it should give an ample spread of gears to competently tackle to worst of the UK’s hills mountains and not leave you spinning out on the descents.
